Vienna forum to analyze parking concerns; Traffic changes coming to I-95 and I-66

On Thursday, May 9, Vienna’s Town Business Liaison Committee will host a community meeting to discuss concerns about potential solutions to parking issues in the town’s commercial centers. Some suggestions include designating an off-site parking area for employees; creating a parking map; shared parking among businesses; and running a trolley system. (Inside NoVA)

Work on Route 28, near I-66, has shut down Walney Road between Va. 28 and Cabells Mill Drive, which cuts off a frequently used road until Sept. 2020. The closure is part of construction of a new interchange between I-66 and Route 28. (WTOP)

Amazon has enlisted a trio of firms that were involved with the development of the company’s Seattle campus to help shape the plans for its second headquarters in Northern Virginia. (Washington Business Journal)

Through the month of May, Loudoun County Transit buses will provide connections to the Wiehle-Reston East and West Falls Church Metro stations. The free rides are part of the ISHARE66 Commuter Choice program aimed at reducing traffic congestion on I-66. (Loudoun Times-Mirror)
