At the Harbor View conference center in Woodbridge yesterday, approximately 40 people gathered for Prince William Woodbridge District Supervisor Frank Principi’s second Fast Ferry Summit. Principi closed by encouraging people to consider whether or not they would benefit from a ferry passenger boat delivering Woodbridge commuters to Washington, D.C. via the Potomac River, specifically asking that they call their county’s Board of Supervisors and state legislatures should they support this possibility.

At 12:40 p.m. yesterday, a plane crash landed at the Leesburg Executive Airport along Sycolin Road in south Leesburg. No injuries have been reported and federal authorities are investigating the issue.

A pedestrian walkway has been installed over the Herndon-Monroe Park and Ride facility’s bus loop. Once complete, the walkway will link the the south side of the Dulles Toll Road to the Silver Line’s future Herndon Station.
