A New Craft Brewery Is Open in Lovettsville

Stockyard Brewery offers a dozen original craft beers in a family-friendly environment.

Loudoun County isn’t just for wine aficionados — it’s also got plenty for beer lovers. This month, Lovettsville’s Stockyard Brewery became the latest stop on the county’s craft beer trail.

Located on 50 acres, Stockyard is serving up a dozen distinct brews and sours and seltzers in a family-friendly environment. “We created Stockyard Brewery to be a place where everyone — from craft beer lovers to families with kids — can relax, connect, and enjoy the best of Loudoun County,” owner Melis Spears said in a release.

The new venue also hosts live entertainment, trivia nights, lawn games, and more. Families can enjoy the on-site petting zoo, playground, fire pits with s’mores kits, and locally made, gluten-free ice cream.

If the views aren’t impressive enough, you’ll also marvel at the property’s historic buildings. These include Stockyard’s tasting room, which is located in a restored 1897 barn; a log cabin from 1773 that will be turned into a bed and breakfast; and a more modern barn that will eventually open as a wedding venue.

Stockyard Brewery is open Thursday and Friday from noon to 9 p.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. 12428 Mountain Rd., Lovettsville
