After Jeremy Lopynski’s father was in a car accident because of a distracted driver, she and her family started the company Clear View Cups (Lopynski’s daughter stars in the video above). The Centreville family invented Sidesip, a thermos with the spout off to the side, to create clear visibility when in the midst of drinking.
The travel mug is meant for hot and cold liquids and made out of stainless steel.
The team hopes to ship by the end of the year, and still has more than $5,000 to go to reach the $18,000 goal by Nov. 16. A pledge of $26 gets donors a Sidesip. [Kickstarter]
