Fairfax County police placed an officer on administrative leave after he was arrested for driving under the influence over the weekend.
The police said in a news release that the arrest of Officer Justin Faison came after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 50 at South Manchester Street in Seven Corners Saturday night.
Faison was off-duty at the time and in his own vehicle. Seven people in the other vehicle were treated for minor injuries.
Faison, an officer since 2022, is assigned to the Mount Vernon District. He will remain on leave, pending the outcome of an Internal Affairs Bureau investigation.
