Police Raids Shut Down 6 Illicit Manassas Massage Parlors

Investigators uncovered human trafficking victims and seized hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash.

A police operation shut down six massage parlors across Manassas this week, InsideNoVA reports. The Manassas City Police Department-led “Operation False Front” began on October 6. Police say a Crime Solvers tip prompted the investigation. 

Police executed search warrants in Manassas, Fairfax, and Prince William counties. They arrested three suspects and seized hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The raids also uncovered several human trafficking victims, who have been connected to support resources.

Three suspects — Yanzhi Mei of Prince William County, Yanwu Glick of Fairfax County, and Stephen Smarr of Manassas city — face charges of keeping a bawdy place and aiding prostitution. 

Mei, 44, is also charged with sexual battery. She is held on a $2,000 secured bond. Glick, 65, is held without bond. Smarr, 60, is held on a $3,000 secured bond.

The shuttered massage parlors include: 7 Star Spa, White Moon Spa, Oriental Massage, Oriental Massage Therapy, The Massage Dragon, and Manassas Massage Therapy.
