Ready to dig? The Big Dig of Northern Virginia is returning to Ashburn on October 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The family-friendly event gives visitors the chance to climb into the driver’s seat and operate heavy machinery — including excavators and scissor lifts — with guidance from trained construction professionals.
Since its launch in 2021, the Big Dig has raised more than $621,000 in the fight against pediatric cancer. The event partners exclusively with Inova Children’s Hospital, with proceeds funding cancer care initiatives at the hospital.
Tickets start at $30 and include entry, one lunch item, drink, dessert, and a safety vest for each participating child. The $100 family bundle includes four entry tickets and four meals.
