A new indoor golf and entertainment center is coming to Northern Virginia. Five Iron Golf — an indoor golf simulator venue — is coming to Capital One Center in Tysons.
The company plans to open in early 2027; it will occupy approximately 17,000 square feet across two floors including an outdoor terrace. This will be the brand’s first location in Northern Virginia with regional locations in DC’s Penn Quarter and Baltimore, Maryland.
Visitors can expect Five Iron’s signature high-precision simulator bays and a full-service bar and restaurant. The new location will also offer professional instruction, club fittings, high-speed swing cameras, and competitive leagues and tournaments. Additional table games — such as ping pong and shuffleboard — and widescreen TVs will be available.
“As we set out to bring the Five Iron brand to Northern Virginia, Capital One Center was exactly the kind of destination we had in mind for a flagship location — a place to build the brand in this market for the long term,” said Evan and Nicole Klatt, managing members of franchise group TheOwen Holdings, in a press release.
Five Iron Golf began in 2017, in New York City’s Flatiron District and now has almost 50 locations in 20 states and eight countries. The company is known for enhancing players’ experience with the use of technology, including its Trackman simulators, swing cameras, and virtual golf courses.
“Experiential retailers are a key part of our entertainment and recreation strategy. Five Iron will offer the high-energy atmosphere and vibrant gathering place that our associates and community are looking for,” said Erin Mical, vice president at Capital One.
