Over the course of the past 16 years, Woofie’s, LLC has grown from a dog-walking business with one location to a Northern Virginia-based franchise offering all things pet care, including pet sitting, owner workshops and mobile pet spa services. And now, in an effort to support its employees during the global pandemic, Woofie’s has launched Fetch, a concierge service that offers a trusted team member to assist you with personal needs outside the home.
Whether you need medication picked up from your local pharmacy or want your favorite dinner meal delivered to your door, the services are not limited to pet care, although taking your pet to the vet is an available option too. No matter the task at hand, all Fetch concierge services start at a rate of $20 per hour, charged in 30-minute increments.
According to the company’s website, 100% of the fees will go directly to your Fetch attendant, as Woofie’s has had to cut back on some of its other services, making it difficult for employees to maintain a stable income.
As Woofie’s is considered an essential business per Gov. Ralph Northam’s stay-at-home order, the local company has adhered to a strict protocol with all of its services in an effort to keep clients and staff members safe and healthy. In accordance with guidelines set forth by the CDC and the WHO, Woofie’s team members will maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet, offer no-contact service when possible and utilize protective equipment such as face masks, gloves and hand sanitizer.
In addition to Fetch, Woofie’s is also now offering free dog-walking services until Sunday, May 31 to Ashburn and Lansdowne residents working on the front lines against the coronavirus.
Interested customers can request Fetch services by emailing fetch@woofies.com or calling one of its four locations.
