Tuesday, at Fairfax’s Social Security Administration Office on Waples Mill Road, a woman from New York hit a security guard in the head with her fanny pack, which had a live pigeon inside. The woman also threatened the man with a knife. The woman was arrested and charged with attempted unlawful wounding. The bird was taken to an animal shelter and will be released into the wild after an investigation into the incident is closed.
