NoVA residents no longer have to wait patiently by the mailbox for online orders or battle inevitable traffic into the city to score their favorite indie brands. Local favorite online retailer Anthom opens their first store location in the Mosaic District today. Described as a physical extension of the brand, the store reflects the minimal-yet-unique aesthetic of the lines typically carried on the site. “I’m into warm modernism,” says co-founder Marshall Johnson, who also helped redesign NoVA boutique She’s Unique. “We wanted natural wood, pale pastel colors and copper.” Customers can expect to find sophisticated prints in classic shapes, monochrome silk sets and one-of-a-kind shoes and accessories. “We like wearability and practicality, but it also has to be a little different,” states co-founder Ashley Turchin.
