After a week of snow, it is time to get back to outdoor fun. Whether you want to take a hike or enjoy an early Valentine’s Day celebration with some chocolate and scotch, these five park events will be fun for the whole family.
Wednesday, 6:30 p.m.
Skip the board games and enjoy a night of bingo. Just bring along your marker and pick up a board for a night of family fun. If you get bingo, make sure to honk your horn and flash your lights to call your win. // Dorothy Hart Community Center: 408 Canal St., Fredericksburg; $5 per player
Thursday, 10-11 a.m.

Saturday, 11 a.m.-noon
Pack on the layers for a hike to the marsh. The one-mile trek will allow participants to catch a glimpse of the park’s Tundra Swans and other local creatures. Guests are asked to wear a mask and follow social distancing protocols. // Mason Neck State Park: 7301 High Point Road, Lorton; free
Saturday, 3 p.m.

Get the family together for a fun geocaching adventure. Explore the park with your GPS unit to help find the secret boxes. This program will be limited to 10 people. // Mason Neck State Park: 7301 High Point Road, Lorton; free
