During hard times, it’s important to pause and find a little joy in each day. For kids and adults alike, “playing” by doing a fun activity could be just what you need to put a smile on your face.
DC-based artist Maggie O’Neill, known for her colorful paintings (find her work locally at Wilson Hardware, Hank’s Oyster Bar and Copperwood Tavern), is inviting DMV locals to play with her virtually through a bingo event, hosted on Zoom on Thursday, June 4, from 8 to 9 p.m.

Last year, O’Neill held a live bingo event in person, which featured oversized bingo sheets with participants serving as the markers on the sheets, and has since created bingo-inspired paintings (like this one featuring ice cream cones) and merchandise, like her signature “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” T-shirts.
For those who register for the online event, bingo packages will be sent to your home and include bingo sheets, dobbers and a print of O’Neill’s artwork. The Zoom link with details will be sent to all participants prior to the event.

O’Neill will also be joined by surprise DC personalities who will help her call out the bingo numbers and give away prizes to the winners.
