If you’re looking to fill your home with locally made goods, and get a few sips of Virginia’s oldest bourbon, you’re in luck.
Virginia’s oldest distillery, A. Smith Bowman Distillery, and the Fredericksburg Area Woodworkers Guild are combing forces to host the Whiskey and Wood Artisan Festival on Oct. 18 and 19.
The event will gather dozens of local artisans who will be selling their handcrafted goods, from wood, glass, metal, pottery, furniture, home decor, jewelry and more. It is family-friendly with free admission and parking, and will allow attendees to interact with the makers, hear their stories of creation and take home items that they love.
Tours of the distillery and tastings will be available during the two-day event, and food will be available for purchase from Orofino. // A. Smith Bowman Distillery: 1 Bowman Drive, Fredericksburg; Oct. 18, 4-8 p.m. and Oct. 19, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; free
