Your favorite comfort food is getting an upgrade: the NoVA Mac and Cheese Festival.
The TasteUSA event will take over North Fairfax Drive and North Stuart Street in Ballston on Oct. 5, for what TasteUSA promises to be “the cheesiest event Northern Virginia has ever seen,” according to the event posting.
Gooey, creamy and, if you’re lucky, with a crunchy topping, the event will feature over 30 kinds of macaroni and cheese from participating locations that include local restaurants, food trucks and various food vendors. Guests can also enjoy the live music, craft beer, wine and soft drinks, as well as over-the-top mac and cheese presentations.
Participating locations include Coyote Grille, Happy Family Ranch, Neopol Smokery and more. Many will be announced closer to the event’s debut.
