Chunky Knit Blanket Workshop

You’ve seen the super comfy, large-knit blankets all over Instagram, and now you can make your own. No prior knitting experience required. The workshop will take you step-by-step through making your own one-of-a-kind cozy blanket, and you can even choose from gray, cream or tan depending on your preference. Bottle and Pint String Art Class

You might want to bring your earplugs for this one. Pick from one of three designs and learn how to create your own string-and-wood art. Attendees will start by nailing into the wood to create their design, followed by a much quieter, colorful second half of the class that includes running the string around the nails and watching your piece come to life. Paint a Project Piece

Not all of the materials are provided for this one, but that’s the best part! Bring an old and outdated piece of furniture to this workshop, where you will learn about color painting, distressing and wax application, and create a new-to-you piece without having to buy all of the supplies (or clean up the mess). Hand Build a Ceramic Wall Pocket
Sunday, Sept. 15, 2-4 p.m.
Forget buying that adorable plant hanger you’ve hand your eye on for months. It’s time to make your own. At this workshop, Persimmon Street Ceramics will teach you how to hand-build the ceramic pocket and create textures on the surface to make it truly unique.
