If you’ve been eyeing a local wine tour but just haven’t gotten it on the calendar yet, the Embrey Mill Berry and Wine Festival could be the perfect excuse to clear your schedule.
The event gathers guests of all ages for Saturday afternoon fun on May 11, from noon to 5 p.m. Kids can have their faces painted, collect balloons, take a swing at Godzilla Golf or dance the afternoon away surrounded by bubbles and music by DJ BnB.
For guests 21 and older, the event will offer up to 14 different wine tastings from local wineries, such as Hartwood Winery, Potomac Point Vineyard and Winery, Rogers Ford Farm Winery, Mattaponi Winery and A. Smith Bowman Distillery. Entry is free for designated drivers or those wishing to pass on the local libations, as well as minors.
Pair your favorite sips with food from C&T Produce, Glory Dawgs, Funnel Cake Café and The UFO Truck. Attendees can also browse Embrey Mill’s varying home styles, such as single-family and townhomes, and find open houses with berry dish tastings, promotions and giveaways.
The event is held in partnership of Newland Real Estate Group, North America Sekisui House and Grapes & Grains Trail at Embrey Mill, an 819-square-mile community located off of I-95 in Stafford. Parking will be available at Ebenezer Church, where guests can use provided shuttle buses for transport to and from the neighborhood event.
