Put on your nicest bathrobe and come to the Arlington Cinema & Drafthouse this Thursday for “Dude Fest,” its annual celebration of the Coen brothers’ 1998 classic bowling/stoner/buddy/film noir homage “The Big Lebowski.”
Dude Fest begins at 7:30 with themed music, featuring songs from the movie’s soundtrack and “other songs The Dude would love”–we suspect some CCR songs may make an appearance.
Drafthouse bartenders will be crafting “Big Lebowski”-inspired cocktails, like the Drafthouse’s version of a White Russian. The Dude would approve.
At 8:40, test your “Big Lebowski” knowledge with trivia at the stage and costume awards, drawing the best Bunny Lebowski and Little Lebowski Urban Achievers in Arlington. Bonus: Everyone who comes dressed in a “Big Lebowski” costume will receive a free movie pass for their next trip to the Drafthouse.
Finally, enjoy the main event at 9 p.m. Or don’t–either way, “that’s just, like, your opinion, man.”
