Fairfax County resident Michael Applegate volunteers 30 hours a week to Laurel Hill Park

Since retiring in 2016, Marine Corps veteran Michael Applegate has dedicated about 1,200 hours a year to the trails in Laurel Hill Park. Here, we share his story.
