Thomas McWeeny has been with the firm of Koonz, McKenney, Johnson, DePaolis & Lightfoot, LLP, as an injury attorney since May 2006, after two years as a law clerk for the firm, assisting in the research and analysis of legal issues, compensation claims and personal injury lawsuits. As an injury attorney, McWeeny represents clients in workers compensation claims throughout Virginia and a variety of personal injury areas, including car accidents, products liability, premises liability, construction accidents and medical malpractice.
A graduate of George Mason University School of Law, as a law student McWeeny interned with the law firm of Greenspun & Mann, P.C., where he assisted in the capital murder trial of John Allen Mohammad, in connection with the 2002 “Beltway sniper” shootings. Other past experience includes working as a legal assistant clerk with Hogan & Hartson, LLP.
A Herndon resident, McWeeny is admitted to practice in the commonwealth of Virginia and is a member of the American Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and is a sub-committee head within the Fairfax Circuit Court Committee.
