Every September, the 100,000-square-foot Dulles Expo Center, is transformed into a homeowner’s paradise, featuring handmade decor, the newest home technology, expert-led lessons and so much more, as part of the Capital Home Show.
Those who attend get to meet with dozens of local and national exhibitors, all of whom showcase various ways to improve your home, as well as tools needed for projects and renovations. Plus, famed guest speakers like Brett Tutor of TLC’s Trading Spaces or Kevin O’Connor of This Old House tend to make appearances.
Yet this year, six months after the coronavirus pandemic started to wreak havoc on the United States, the marketplace will not take place due to health and safety concerns.
Marketplace Events, the parent company behind the Capital Home Show, has been hosting events like the Capital Home Show, as well as the Home + Remodeling Show and the Capital Remodel + Garden Show, for more than 75 years. As of now, the Capital Home Show will take place at an undecided date in 2021, and the company plans to host the Home + Remodeling Show at the Dulles Expo Center from Friday, Jan. 22, 2021 through Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021.
For those craving home-improvement tips sooner than later, the organization has several relevant blog posts, such as summer gardening tips for beginners, up on its site.
