Grab your tool belt and get to work on future home improvements (or other home needs) at the 11th annual DC Housing Expo and Home Show on June 15.
The all-day event will have a “District-centered” theme to help celebrate the “June Housing Bloom,” a month-long initiative of DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, in partnership with the DC Department of Housing and Community Development. The campaign hopes to highlight events throughout the city that preserve affordable housing options and promote development in areas for residents of all backgrounds in DC.
The expo has been designed with all ages in mind (from financial guidance for teens to senior home planning for retirees), featuring workshops and special demonstrations throughout the day, and is set to gather roughly 125 exhibitors that range in services from kitchen renovation to patio installation.
WHUR and Lillie’s Furniture Gallery have partnered up for a $5,000 living room furniture giveaway (a sofa, chair, two tables, rug and two pillows) on Saturday for a lucky winner.
