West Elm, known for its modern furniture and home décor, is opening a new location in Alexandria—the first in the city—in Old Town on April 18, at 10 a.m.
The 12,000-square-foot space will host a grand opening celebration the night before (April 17) from 6 to 8 p.m., with special discounts, cocktails by Johnnie Walker and food by local vendors, including Nice Cream and Popped Republic.
West Elm has also partnered with Leesa Sleep to donate a portion of the night’s proceeds toward providing mattresses to the DC Dream Center. RSVP here.
Patrons can expect regular events, pop-ups and workshops led by local small businesses at the store in the coming months.
The shop will open with its summer collection, and will also feature products made in Old Town, as part of the West Elm Alexandria LOCAL assortment. So far, local vendors include Goodnight Darling, Hedgehog Pottery, Marcella Kriebel, The Neighborgoods and Nourish & Refine.
West Elm Alexandria will be open Mondays through Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. For more information, visit westelm.com. //925 N. Asaph St., Alexandria
