Earlier this year, Northern Virginia ranked as one of the healthiest regions in the nation, and with events like Well Ray Festival, it’s easy to see how much Northern Virginians really do love health and wellness.
The sixth annual Well Ray Festival returns this year on Saturday, June 22 (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.) rain or shine, and will feature free fitness classes with a range of focuses, including yoga, Pilates, CrossFit, spin, barre and dance. Each class will be led by vendors from Del Ray and the surrounding area. Kids classes will also be taking place at this family-friendly event.
The festival will also include health demonstrations and exhibits by holistic health practitioners, including therapeutic massages, acupuncture, physical therapy consultations, chiropractic adjustments, nutritional counseling, blood pressure screenings, wellness coaching and more.
For the fashionistas, there will also be athletic wear for purchase from local clothing designers and boutiques.
Admission is free, and the event will take place along Mount Vernon Avenue, between Custis and Uhler avenues in Alexandria. Guests are encouraged to bring their own yoga mats to participate in the free fitness classes.
