Once upon a time, a pandemic swept the nation, and Arlington’s Skydome Restaurant was forced to close its doors. Now, after a conceptual redesign, it’s open for business once again.
Skydome sits atop the DoubleTree by Hilton Crystal City Hotel, and offers a view of the DC skyline as Arlington’s only rotating rooftop restaurant.
According to a recent news release, both food and drink at Skydome have been reimagined.

If you’re thinking of visiting, here’s a taste of what you can expect.
Newly appointed executive chef has 30 years of experience in more than 10 cities around the world. Now, he’s brought his expertise to Arlington. Skydome’s revamped menu is his creation, and spotlights American food with Mediterranean flare.
Guests can choose from appetizers like the green curry hummus, truffle mushroom pizza, or grilled octopus before the main course comes. Entrées include a waygu burger, sautéed gnocchi alla vodka with jumbo shrimp and asparagus, and a 16-ounce grilled, tomahawk pork chop.

Now, let’s talk drinks. Thirsty patrons can peruse a beverage menu centered around local beers, Virginia wines, and specially crafted cocktails. Selections include a DC IPA, a Riesling from Williamsburg, and a zesty cocktail dubbed the Sunset Sipper, which consists of mezcal, fresh strawberry and lime, agave, and a Tajín rim for a little bit of spice.
Skydome is now open and accepting dinner reservations from Tuesday through Saturday, though a reservation is not required. Dinner is available from 5 to 10 p.m.
