It’s DC Beer Week, and of course Virginia brews play a large part in the celebration. Before a quick listing of VA-focused events, a few brewery updates:
– Announced by the governor’s office today, Heritage Brewing Company will add 66 new jobs to Manassas and invest $8.9 million with its relocation and expansion, including a new production facility and plans for more brewpubs, like the one in Arlington. [more]
– Aslin Beer Company will open both a tasting room with a rooftop deck and a dedicated sour beer production area in Herndon, plus another production facility. The brewery’s second anniversary party, this September, will be in the parking lot of the new tasting room. [more]
– In openings: Twinpanzee debuted in Sterling earlier this month, and Manassas’ Sinistral Brewing Company is gearing up for its opening and posting progress on Facebook.
