Drink: A flight of bloody marys: Ciao Bella Maria, Smoky Spanish Maria and Beijing Mary, $12
Where: The Curious Grape, 2900 S. Quincy St., Arlington.
Taste: It’s Wednesday and we’re already thinking about long weekend brunches. The bloodies at Curious Grape do not resemble the typical horseradish-Worcestershire drink, and instead take on different themes. The Ciao Bella Maria sips like an Italian take on gazpacho; the Smoky Spanish Maria relies heavily on smoked paprika; and the Beijing Mary hones in on heat (which is what I crave from the typical bloody) with wasabi and some saltiness from soy. We liked the Beijing best … but wished for a bigger swig from the vodka bottle.
