Finding activities to partake in that the entire family will enjoy is often a challenge. Add a global pandemic restricting what’s open to the mix, and it becomes even more complex. Lucky for Northern Virginia youngsters and parents craving new adventures outside of the home, the Dulles Golf & Sports Park in Sterling is a one-stop shop that will combine outdoor time, physical activity and entertainment all in one visit.
On the grounds, there are batting cages, a miniature golf course, a driving range and a pro shop too—all of which are now fully open after brief closures and schedule adjustments due to COVID-19—with social distance guidelines and other health precautions in place.
For baseball fans interested in heading to the batting cages (officially opened on May 30) this summer, the new requirements include bringing your own helmets and staying socially distant to others. As for keeping everything sanitary, on-site staff has pledged to disinfect all door handles and fixtures on the premises regularly.
Within the spaces dedicated to golf, including both mini golf for youngsters and teens, as well as the driving range for more experienced golfers, all high-touch fixtures, balls and putters will be sanitized after each use. For those interested in seeking out lessons, the sports park is offering limited sessions available for inquiry, so don’t miss your chance to get active under the sun, while bonding with the family too. // 21593 Jesse Court Sterling; open 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
