This autumn, celebrate the season with family and friends at Mount Vernon. The attractions include wagon rides, wheat treading, dance demonstrations, a straw bale maze, apple-roasting, and much more. Potomac River sightseeing cruises are also half-price this weekend only. / Oct. 25 & 26

2Kids Euro Festival

Let your child’s imagination run wild with this magical production. Children ages 1-5 watch as Brother and Sister Bear travel through a delightful year of seasons, and can even participate in the play using a small bag of props. / Oct. 16–18

4Halloween Happyfest
Trick-or-Treating begins early in Old Town Warrenton with this fun afternoon event. The Happyfest Parade begins at 2 p.m., followed by a special opportunity to Trick-or-Treat at shops in the Old Town area. This event allows kids to enjoy Halloween before sunset. / Oct. 24

5Fall Color Farm Tour
Tour the Oatlands estate as the magnificent reds, yellows and oranges of fall come to life in nature. Alongside the colors, it features the people and products of the Loudoun Valleys as well as the Loudoun Valley Sheep Producers Association with their animals. / Oct. 18 & 19
