Frontier Airlines returns to Dulles International Airport for the first time in more than two years with flights to Orlando and Atlanta for as low as $19. Meanwhile, PLAY Airlines is offering $2 flights for kids when parents book round-trip tickets to Iceland and Europe.
Orlando and Atlanta are among 11 new routes across 15 airports where Frontier will fly. The routes to Florida and Georgia start November 14, Frontier said in a news release.
Frontier will have four weekly round-trips to Orlando, a city it hasn’t flown to from IAD since 2021. The airline stopped all of its Dulles flights in the first quarter of 2022 when it cut service there and in Newark, New Jersey.
The Frontier flights from Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Atlanta to Dulles will be daily. Flights from both will have an introductory fare of $19 and are valid through February 28, 2025, with blackout dates around the holidays.
“As consumers look ahead to the fall and winter months and make their holiday plans, we are thrilled to once again expand our roster of convenient and affordable travel options,” said Josh Flyr, vice president of network and operations design for Frontier Airlines, in a news release.
“From warm weather destinations such as Southern California, Texas, and Florida or winter sports meccas Utah and Colorado, to popular metropolitan areas like New York, Atlanta and Washington, DC, there are now even more exciting destinations to choose from when flying Frontier.”

The $2 fare is for one way, and the flights are out of Dulles International, Baltimore-Washington, Boston, and New York.

The trips need to be taken from during the following timeframes:
- September 29 – October 6;
- October 8 – October 20;
- October 22 – November 3;
- November 5 – December 15, 2024.
The $2 deal does have other restrictions.
