Tropical Storm Debby dumped enough rain in Virginia that NoVA is no longer facing a drought.
The Virginia Department of Environmental Quality on Friday lifted drought advisories that included watches and warnings for 76 counties and cities.
A drought warning remains in effect for the Shenandoah region and a watch for the Big Sandy region.
The warning means a significant drought is imminent in the following counties: Augusta, Clarke, Frederick, Page, Rockingham, Shenandoah, and Warren.
When Debby swept through, some parts of Virginia received more than 8 inches of rain. Major water supply reservoirs have recovered from their deficits and are within normal ranges, DEQ said.
