A snake is to blame for causing a power outage Tuesday morning in Prince William County.
The outage occurred at the intersection of Prince William Parkway and Sudley Manor Drive.
According to a Facebook post from Prince William County Animal Services, the snake is fine.
“Crash Investigator Lewton and Animal Control Officer White removed it unharmed and released it in the area,” the post said.
Of course, both animal control and the police department want to remind drivers that when there are power outages that you should stop, like you would at a stop sign, at the affected intersection.
While some on the police department’s Facebook page speculated that the snake was seeking warmth, Ginger Stannard had a different take.
“I guess he wanted to have a shocking personality!” Stannard wrote.
