Bring your bags or boxes and plan to load up on books at the annual spring book sale at Arlington’s Central Library.
The sale, put together by the Friends of the Arlington Public Library, always draws crowds. It started Thursday night with a members-only sale.
Here are the hours:
- Friday, April 21, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Saturday, April 22, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday, April 23, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Friday and Saturday, teachers and librarians get a 50 percent discount. Everybody gets half price on Sunday.
In addition to books, you will find games and puzzles for sale.
Specialty books, first editions, and rare books will be on the library’s first floor.
The rest of the twice-a-year book sale happens in the library’s garage, with the proceeds supporting library programs. It’s the biggest fundraiser for the volunteer organization. If you are driving, you will not be able to park in the garage.
You can pay with cash or credit cards.
The library is located at 1015 N. Quincy St.
