As the federal government tries to figure out whether Northern Virginia or suburban Maryland will get the new FBI headquarters, the governors have a way to make the decision: a basketball game.
Maryland Gov. Wes Moore took to Twitter to challenge Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin.
Moore tweeted a clip of himself shooting hoops, and wrote, “Let’s go one on one, winner gets the new FBI headquarters.”

Youngkin responded with “Game on,” in a clip where he sunk a three-point shot.
The Virginia Republican did play college hoops at Rice University in Houston, and he also captained the Norfolk Academy basketball team when it won the state championship in 1985.

Both states made their final pitches this week to the General Services Administration to get the FBI headquarters. Virginia’s site would be in Springfield, while Maryland has two sites, Greenbelt and Landover, up for consideration.
