A teenager is facing multiple charges after being connected to a bomb threat email that caused the evacuation of Potomac Falls High School.
Detectives from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office received a written threat through email on Wednesday, June 1. After investigating, the LCSO were able to identify a student at Potomac Falls as the source of the emails. The student is being charged with three counts of threats to bomb.
Per Loudoun County Public School safety-and-security protocol, students were evacuated from the building for the search to begin. Out of an abundance of caution, the LSCO had additional law enforcement at the school on Thursday, June 2.
The arrested teen is being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center.
