The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services has opened a new natural surface trail, working in partnership with the Northern Virginia Criminal Justice Training Academy and Potomac Heritage Trail Association. The trail will become part of the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail and the Loudoun County Linear Parks and Trails System.
The new trail adds an additional 2,200 feet of trail along Broad Run Creek. The best way to access the trail is by parking at Bles Park and traveling to the east along Broad Run.
Loudoun County invites members of the public to attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new segment that will take place on Saturday, June 11th at 10 a.m. Parking is available a short distance away from the trail at 45299 Research Pl., Ashburn.
This development is part of Loudoun County’s plan to create an interconnected, county-wide linear park and trail system.
