High winds continue today, potentially reaching 50 mph, but they are expected to slow this evening. More than 34,000 Dominion customers in Northern Virginia lost power Sunday night due to winds, and Fairfax County Public Schools started on a two-hour delay Monday.

Prince William County board chairman and Virginia gubernatorial candidate Corey Stewart made a campaign stop in Charlottesville, where he is currently contesting the city council’s decision to remove a Confederate statue. He was met with protesters who yelled, “White supremacy has got to go.”
