Meg Biram is a lifestyle blogger who turned her passion into her job. Her entrepreneurial skills led to her online shop, successful blog and many other accomplishments.
Biram shares everything she loves with the world, and now she will be setting up shop in Georgetown, creating a work space for fellow female entrepreneurs to create and collaborate. She is decking out the digs in pieces to keep it hip, but also functional to inspire more innovative work.
Biram has also partnered with Allmodern.com for this project, as well as other well known companies like Kate Spade. As Biram’s design style continues to get notice around NoVA, we caught up to get her view on the project, what she hopes to do and to learn about her partnership.
What inspired you to open this Georgetown work space?
After three years of working from home, I craved daily interaction with other inspiring and equally ambitious women. I started talking to a few ladies I knew who worked from home and found out they were interested in a collaborative workspace as well. Georgetown was not only the perfect midpoint for where many of us live, but it’s also such an iconic place in D.C. We are excited to be in the middle of the hustle and bustle and of course the gorgeous architecture and character Georgetown offers.
What do you hope to accomplish with the project?
An inspiring and collaborative work environment for some of the most talented women in the D.C. area.
What is one of your tips to creating a successful workplace environment?
The aesthetics are very important to me — how the space looks and feels. But I think communication with everyone in the space and supportive attitudes are probably the most important thing for space to be successful.
Congrats on your partnership with Allmodern.com. For those who aren’t familiar with the company, how would you describe their products?
Thank you! They have been amazing to work with. If you are looking for anything from furniture to decor to products for your kids, AllModern.com has a plethora of modern products in a range of budgets. I can’t even tell you how many hours I’ve spent drooling over furniture.
And to see her in action, tickets are still available for her upcoming event on March 29 here. This workshop event is all about accomplishing your personal goals.
