Love’s First Blush

By Natalie Bovis-Nelsen (AKA: TheLiquidMuse.com)

If you want to impress a special someone on Valentine’s Day, ditch the same old bunch o’flowers routine. The stylish suitor knows nothing says “you’re the one” like a Bouquet of Rosé cocktail!

When Domaine Carneros (www.domaine.com) approached me to create a Liquid Muse signature cocktail for the launch of their new sparkling Brut Rosé, I knew it had to be delicately balanced and undeniably romantic. Whether popping a cork or popping the question, this drink complements your most intimate desires.

Absinthe Returns

After 95 years of banishment, wormwood is back on the hipster scene and making its way around the country via Lucid (www.drinklucid.com). Developed in France by renowned absinthe historian and distiller Ted Breaux, Lucid contains no artificial chemicals or flavoring. In fact, it’s currently the only green absinthe on the market—the color it was during the Belle Epoque period in France. Use this licorice-flavored “fairy” spirit of the glamorous 1920s in your cocktails to inspire a certain “je ne sais quoi.”
